Don't you just love it when . . . .
. . . you get rid of two of your three kids and get all ready to go shopping and to the gym, then as you walk out the door the phone rings to let you know your son just threw up at his friends house.
. . . You bring that same son home so he can throw up on your floor.
. . . your sick child falls asleep and instead of going to the gym you get to do laundry and catch up on Dancing with the Stars.
. . . Kids always get sick at the worst time. Trunk or Treat is tonight.
. . . your husband signs you up to bring cornbread to the Trunk or Treat, but you have sick kids and he has to work, so you get to go alone with three tired/sick kids.
. . . your doorbell rings at 7:30 am as you are getting in the shower and it's the shutter installation guy here an hour early. (The shutters are awesome though--money well spent)
. . . your kids get really excited for something. Okay I admit I was more excited we ran right out yesterday to rent Tinkerbell the Movie. The whole family relaxed and watched it yesterday afternoon. I'm buying it, but Michael wants to save it for Christmas. Very cute movie! I loved fairy's as a little girl!
. . . your child decides suddenly that he doesn't want to be Batman, he wants to be a Baseball player and refuses to wear his costume later that night. We're in for a fun evening.
. . . you can just put everything off and waste time blogging!! :)

Fun activities and Family
We had a fun and busy weekend. It started with a birthday party for Haley's friend Kyla. They had a great time playing--we don't get to see the Dill family often so it was fun to celebrate Kyla's Birthday with them. After the party we rushed home to get ready for Grandma and Papa Henrie to get to our house. The kids were so excited, it is always so exciting when they get to come stay at our house. Saturday was busy for the kids we started with a Birthday party for Samuel, which Haley and Hunter went to and wore their Halloween costumes to. More pictures to come--they looked so cute. During the party my Dad and Michael watched BYU beat UNLV and my Mom and I went shopping. It was so nice to spend time with her, we don't get to do it very often, but I really enjoyed it!
We then rushed off to Haley's Soccer game. Haley got three goals! What a show off, just because she had Grandma and Grandpa there to watch (she threw in some dramatics as well). We had to leave the game early to head off to Haley's Dance show at the Galleria Mall. She did two dances "I love being a Princess" and "Boo". The pictures didn't turn out at all and of course the video camera died at the end of the second dance. At least we'll have our memories! Dinner at Pei Wei and a movie with Michael topped off the day.
It is always so fun to have family visit, the kids are already looking forward to when Grandma and Papa come again! Thanks for making their weekend!

Conversations
One of the highlights of my week is driving Haley and her friends Sophia and Emmy to dance and pre-school. It's funny to hear what three 4 four year-old little girls come up with. This was their conversation today . . . .
Sophia--"I have a fish"
Haley--"I have a blue fish, but Hunter doesn't have a fish because he got sick"
Emmy--"What happened to it"
Haley--"Hunter's fish got sick and was coughing then went to live with Heavenly Father"
Emmy--"Fish don't live with Heavenly Father (laughing)"
Sophia--"Yes they do!!!"
Haley--"Heavenly Father lives at the church"
Emmy--"No he doesn't!!!"
Sophia--"Yes he does I saw him and talked to him at church"
Emmy--"Why didn't I get to see him, that's not FAIR!"
Sophia--"If you go to your cabin you don't get to see Heavenly Father"
Haley--"Maybe next time you go to church you can see him!"
It was so sweet to listen to their innocence! I find it so entertaining to just sit and watch them sometimes, you never know where a conversation may lead. I think this one went on a little more, but I forget I was laughing to hard!

Coupon Mom
Last week Oprah did a show on some money saving tips to help everyone affected by that dreaded word "economy." There were lots of ideas that were interesting including
--Trading furniture with a friend instead of buying new
--Unplugging everything when not in use. Computers, TV's, and all appliances. A woman claimed to save 60% on her power bill.
--Using Coupons. The "Coupon Mom" took a grocery list from costing $140.00 to $37.00.
There were some other ideas but the Coupon one is something I'm really interested in. The "Coupon Mom" had some good tips on her website, but I'm curious if anyone else does this and has a good system. I'd love any tips on this or other fun ways any family or friends are cutting back. I'm always looking for ways to save a buck or two. Although it is WAY more fun to spend them! :)

Quick Update
What a busy week it has been! Let me start this post with saying "Thank You" to everyone who actually thought I was "25". I got lots of birthday wishes, it's nice to know people care. Just for everyone's info I am not 25, that's just where I chose to stop counting. The rest of this post is just a rundown of our week. Probably boring to most, but I need it for my record and it was a great week!
Friday October 3, 2008--Eric and Jenny came over for dinner and baseball game. Red Sox vs. Angels. Red Sox won yeah!
Saturday, October 4--Eric and Jenny came over again to babysit so Michael could take me out. We saw Mama Mia at Mandalay Bay and had Cafe Rio. It was a great night and THANK YOU Jenny for watching the kids. YOU ARE THE BEST! We also had Soccer--Ladybugs won and Michael owes Haley another dollar.
Sunday, October 5--The kids and I decided to head to Utah for a few days. We left early and I realized I love listening to Conference on the radio. I got so much from it! President Monson's talk was wonderful and I can't wait to read it again!
Monday, October 6--Spent the day playing with cousins at Grandma and Papa's house and enjoyed the cool weather at the park. I finally got to make the Chicken Tortilla Soup I've been craving and it was yummy. I feel like I need cool weather to make soup. I love fall!
Tuesday, October 7--Had a photo shoot in front of Grandma and Papa's house. Their vines are a beautiful shade of red. My Mom then babysat while I got my hair done--that was their gift to me. I know I'm weird, but I go to Utah to get my hair done. It cost $40.00 for a cut and color. In Vegas it would be over $100. Thanks again Mom! We headed home afterwards and took the long way including a stop at Cedar Breaks to look at the views and play in the SNOW. (Yes there is snow already).
Wednesday, October 8-- 2 doctor appointments. Dermatologist for Harmon (Eczema is doing much better) and 6 month well check. He is getting sooooo big. 3 shots later we spent the evening at home dealing with a cranky baby and watching more Baseball. Go Red Sox!
Thursday, October 9--Tumbling for Hunter--Kind of a waste, he doesn't like structured play. Especially if I'm there. He loves the parachute though. More Baseball and a dirty house. Why is it so hard to recover from a trip?
Friday, October 10--Pre-school, house cleaning, and Halloween shopping. I won't say what their costumes are yet, but they are cute and the kids are so excited! More Baseball :)
Saturday, October 11--I think I finally got on top of the house today. I worked inside, Michael worked outside in the garage. We also had Soccer and of course on the coldest day of the year we had pictures as well. The Ladybugs won and Michael is short another dollar--just one goal this game. I was proud of Haley for working hard instead of complaining about the cold. It was REALLY chilly that day. After soccer we headed home for guess what MORE BASEBALL. Red Sox lost to the Rays so it's 1-1 in the ALCS. Now we're back to Boston. We'll keep cheering!
I know this was a long post, but this is my journal of sorts. Having our busy week in writing helps me realize how much fun we had. It's great to do so much with my family!

Happy Birthday to Me
Yesterday was my "25th" Birthday. It was a great day! Michael and the kids spoiled me as usual. I got Wii Fit and stayed up until 2:00am playing with it. Michael and I had fun laughing at each other trying to do some of the games. I had my yummy birthday dinner at Claimjumper and 24 hours later I think I'm still full! We followed up with the "I declair" which is a giant eclair and I mean GIANT. I should have taken a picture! What made the day most special was just spending time with my family. I was shocked at all the e-mails and phone calls from friends and family--it makes me feel good to know people were thinking of me.
