Stress

Okay, I've decided that I am really good at stressing myself out. I have quite a bit going on this week and instead of dealing with it the right way, I'm just stressing about it. I know everything will be fine, but my head just isn't grasping that right now.

To give you an idea of what's up--I'm in the process of cooking 96 Hot Dogs. Yes, I did say 96 Hot Dogs. We have our Cub Scout Blue and Gold tonight and I got Hot dog duty. I was panicking about setting up and decorating, but of course everyone showed up and it was done within an hour this morning. I was panicking about what to do with my kids and my friend Jessica agreed to watch them "THANK YOU."

I had a t-Ball meeting last night for the team Mom's. I had no idea there was so much to do being the Team Mom-I'm not sure I agree with it all and I was up at 4:00 in the morning thinking about baskets, banners, and concessions. Oh and of course decorating the gym in my head as well. I finally got back to sleep when it was time to get up. Future stress of the week includes Visiting Teaching, Dr appointments, T-ball practice, and Haley's Birthday. So you can see that I am stressing for nothing because everything that is going on is just the joy of being a busy Mom and I wouldn't give it up for anything! I hope I'm not the only one that stresses about all the little things!

Hooray for Me!

It's official--Hunter has a baby book. This morning it consisted of 3 pages and it is finally looking like a scrapbook. I haven't scrapbooked since before Harmon was born. There just isn't enough time in the day, plus I'm finding it's not as much fun to do it alone. Before married life I had roommates to stay up all night with and it was just a party to spend tons of time on each page. Now there are way to many distractions. I am so proud of what I got done today though! The pages may not be as cute as I would like them to be, but at least the pictures are in an album to look at. Hopefully I'll get more done tomorrow, while Haley's at pre-school and Hunters at a friends. Poor Harmon may never have a baby book--everything is digital since he came along and I haven't had a single picture printed. Does anyone out there do the digital scrapbooking? I need some tips if you do! I think I'll treat myself to a couple Double Stuff Oreos, some milk, and watch The Biggest Looser. What a productive evening :)

Happy Valentines Day!

I am not a huge fan of Valentines Day. I've always felt it is a dumb Hallmark Holiday, but beautiful flowers always makes me enjoy it more!

Every year I tell Michael not to get me anything and every year he does anyway. I'm glad to have him as my Valentine! We had our Valentines dinner on Wednesday night so we wouldn't have to deal with the crowd and it was a much needed date! I was so excited to get out without kids and we even found a new babysitter.

I did get Michael a gift to, but it wasn't near as pretty as what he got me.

He wanted a big bucket for some T-Balls and this was the only one I could find, so I got that and filled it with everything HE loves. Chips, queso dip, Pepsi, and dark chocolate. Haley wanted to get him Star Wars Clone Wars, because she KNOWS Daddy loves it and so does she. We ended the evening cuddling and watching our movie as we ate our leftovers from lunch. It ended up being a great Valentines Day!I do feel like I've been celebrating all week long. I haven't cooked for several days.

Wednesday--we went out for dinner (Carrabas)

Thursday--My parents were passing thru town and bought us PF Changs Mmmm

Friday--Our great neighbors invited us over for dinner. It was fun to get to know them better!

Saturday--Metro Pizza for lunch and dinner

Sunday--Probably more Metro Pizza-you can only eat a piece at a time it's so filling-but good!

I guess I better get my rear in gear next week and teach myself how to cook again. Below are just a few pictures of Harmon from tonight. He is such a cutie! He's been sick and EXTREMELY ornery, but he's feeling better and is his old happy self again.

Jealous

Okay, so I'm going to whine for just a minute. Last weekend I called 4 different people to babysit so I could go on a date with my hubby. Not one was available, so I gave up and we stayed home again. I am so jealous of those of you out there that have a built in babysitter, you know like Grandma that lives around the corner or sister that loves to have your kids come over whenever they want. I'm sure many of you have been in my position before and can totally relate. It usually doesn't bother me, but I have really wanted to go out for a while. Michael and I haven't been out since the beginning of December and even then it was to a late show after we had put the kids to bed when my parents were in town. We drove to the movie and home again. I guess what I'm saying is . . . . if you are lucky enough to have a built in babysitter give them an extra hug and say thanks! I'll be done whining now because I do have a babysitter tonight so I can go to an enrichment activity. I do hate that I have to pay to go to enrichment. Oh well, I guess you can't win them all :)

Party Time!

We had Hunter's Birthday Party on Friday and it was so fun. It started with Pizza and ended with Monster Truck Cake and Ice Cream. What could possibly be better than that!?! He had all his friends over and Haley's to. He wanted her friends to be there as much as his own. He was so cute and excited about everything. There was an attempt at a few games, but 3 year olds don't take direction very well. I never realized Duck Duck Goose was so hard for kids to understand. It turned into a game of freeze tag because everyone really just wanted to run wild. It was fun until Haley and Hunter ran into each other. I've never seen a lip swell so fast!! Haley was hysterical, but it was because we had to clean her up and she was missing all the fun. She didn't care that her lip was split wide open, she just wanted to play. The picture really doesn't do it justice-it was huge. Overall the party was a huge success and Hunter got a ton of presents. He'll be hooked on Monster Trucks for a while and has played with them everyday. We got him a new bed and bedding, he was so excited to go to bed that night! I usually don't like the character stuff, but he was so excited it made it worth it.

We ended the weekend with a flat tire and sick kids. Hunter must have been worn out from all the fun, because now he is so sick. Fever, Coughing, and just plain miserable. At least he had a fun Birthday!
