The kids and I were sooooo lucky to celebrate our daddy/hubby's day this weekend. Because of work we usually celebrate on Saturday, but since my kids Dad is so special we started on Friday night. I asked the kids what we could do special for Dad and what he really likes and they of course said BASEBALL! We headed off to a 51's game and it turned into a great game. It was a little warm, but nothing a snow cone couldn't solve. The kids had a blast especially Haley, she wanted to stay until the very last out and not a minute sooner.
Saturday we went out to Claimjumper for a late lunch/early dinner. It was delish and Michael got his favorite--Ribs. We all even had enough food for lunch today. We then spent the rest of the day playing the Wii. Hunter picked out a Monster Truck game and was delighted to just play with Dad for hours! Sunday was not to exciting, I made Michael get up early and help get kids ready. I was in super slow mode this morning then it was off to church. Haley sung with the primary in sacrament and there was a very proud Dad sitting in the congregation. I think that really made his day, Haley was so excited to sing then came and smothered Michael with hugs.
We are so lucky to have Michael! He is the BEST Dad and would do ANYTHING for his kids. I thank Heavenly Father everyday for being blessed with a good husband and father for my kids.
I must also pay tribute to my Dad. He is such a good example to me and I'm thankful that he raised me in the gospel and has always been there for me. It's a blessing to have two great men in my life that will always be there for me. HAPPY FATHERS DAY!

Soccer Saturday
Because of the party, we missed an important family event. Thanks for understanding Eric and Jenny! We are so happy for you two! I hate the feeling of having to be in two places at once and sometimes those things are unavoidable. Family is very important to us weather it be extended family or our own little family.

Home Again
So we just spent the last 5 days with my family up in Utah. Michael had to stay home and work while we played, poor Michael! I am so blessed to have the opportunity to take off when I need to. My brother David and his wife Becky blessed their baby on Sunday and it was so fun to go and celebrate the special day with them. Lincoln is a cutie and getting so big already.
Since I went all that way I decided to stay with my parents for a few days and let the kids get spoiled rotten. We got back last night and are now in the detox phase. It usually takes about a week to get the kids back to normal after a few days with Grandma and Grandpa. They wear themselves down playing with cousins and staying up late. My brother Troy lives in Panguitch with his 4 kids so there is always someone to play with. Haley will be excited when my other brother David moves to Panguitch with his kids, so there will be even more cousins to play with. Haley has 4 cousins within a year of each other and it's crazy when they all get together. Crazy, but fun!
We tried to do as much as we could while we were there, but the weather didn't help out to much. We did drive up to the lake and throw some rocks in and watch the boats rock in the wind. The kids both picked a special rock to bring home and share with Dad, but they lost them later that day. Oh, well :) We also spent some time at the park and had lunch at the ranch. We even watched Konner and Brittney play ball (much different from the way we've been playing, but the kids had fun). I drug the kids with me shopping all the way home, I had to get Bunco prizes for tonight's big game. It's my turn to host and I'm afraid I want all the prizes. I better win! Overall it was a wonderful week of fun. I was VERY happy to sleep in my own bed last night and not have a kid in with me. I was also VERY happy to see Michael. We all missed him desperately and were excited to return home to him. I wish I had some pictures to show our fun trip, but I of course forgot the camera. Oh well, we'll be back up there soon!
-----On a side note, the Doctor called us while we were there and let me know that Haley's blood work came back and her Thyroid was TOTALLY out of wack, so back on the medicine we go. At least we know now, and hopefully she'll snap out of her tired phase and back to her happy self!

Too Tired . . .
So this is a phrase I've heard a lot lately. As many know Haley and Harmon were both diagnosed with Hypothyroidism when they were babies and have been on meds since they were 2 weeks old. It's a minor thing as long as they take their meds, but the Dr had said that this is the perfect time to take Haley off hers and see how she does. I was a bit nervous when we decided to do it because of the side effects. I was told to watch her energy level, hair loss, constipation, and skin problems. The only thing-thank goodness- is her energy level. She has been so tired lately. We've had to limit our activities to one a day otherwise she is just a tired and grumpy little girl. It's so hard to tell though if it's her thyroid or just the summertime heat and activities. We're crossing our fingers that it's just the heat and she won't have to be on medications the rest of her life, but it's okay no matter what. Otherwise I am thankful for happy and healthy children--hey I complain about being too tired most of the time to! We do blood work on Thursday to find out how her levels are.
