Our Weekend Away

Well we had our first big outing since Harmon has joined our family. Last weekend we headed to Panguitch for a few days. We had a great time!! The whole Henrie family was there. All 4 of my brothers with wives, kids, and fiancee's. Needless to say it was a snug fit with everyone at Grandma and Grandpa's house, but it was so fun to see everyone. It was a little chilly and windy, but we did manage to make it outside to fly kites with all the kids. I think the adults had more fun than the kids did--I havn't flown a kite in years!! Since we've been home we are just detoxing the kids from the Grandma and Grandpa High and getting Harmon used to not being held all the time. We were so glad we could go--we love spending time with family!!

Keeping Busy

Well I've decided the hardest part about having a new baby is keeping the other two kids entertained. They seem to be bored all the time!! Dad has done well trying to keep them busy, with playing T-Ball and running thru the sprinklers. Haley has been invited to play with a few friends to and that helps the time pass.
Mom and Harmon are both doing well. Harmon is back up to his birth weight and growing normally. We had some discouraging news the other day when our Doctor called to let us know that Harmon wants to be like his big sister and he has Hypothyroidism just like her. We've already started him on some medication and are trying to get into the specialist. It's a relief that they found it before it was a problem and we are relieved to know that it's treatable. We truly have been blessed with healthy kids and we are so thankful for that!

Our New Addition

Welcome Harmon!!!!

Yes he's finally here! Harmon Brent Nelson was born on Saturday, April 5. He was 9 lbs 5 oz and 20 1/2 inches long. Yes he is huge!! The Doctor and nurses were all shocked at how huge he was, not as shocked as mom and dad though. He has been a wonderful baby so far, he is just very tired and hungry. Haley and Hunter have been wonderful with him. Haley wants to hold him all the time and Hunter can't stand it when he cries. He wants to give him his binki all the time. Mom is doing well and recovering quickly--Dad has been a great help and does his best to keep the kids entertained and happy. Our friends and family have been such a great help with everything. We want to thank everyone who helped with Haley and Hunter while we were in the hospital and all the great food that has been coming in.

Panguitch Trip

I decided that we needed to get out of town for a few days before the baby gets here, so the kids and I packed up and went to Panguitch for a few days. Poor Michael had to stay home--Hey someone's gotta pay for the trip. We had a great time just playing with Grandma, Grandpa, and cousins. Haley wanted to go see Grandpa's baby cows everyday. By the end of the trip the kids were exhaused, they play sooo hard up there. The pictures of Hunter crying were taken the night before we came home, he had so much fun that by the last day he had a exhaustion meltdown every 5 minutes. Since we've been back Haley says she wants to go back every night in her prayers. Both Haley and Hunter were excited to see Daddy though, he missed us so much!

That's Panguitch Lake behind us--It was so cold. Haley thought it was neat to see people ice fishing. She really wanted to go join them until she got out of the car and felt how cold it was!

Haley's 4th Birthday

Well it's official our baby is growing up. Haley turned 4 on February 27th. Yes, Mom did cry a little. It's so fun to see her grow and become independent, but I still need my little baby girl. I guess I'll just blame the tears on hormones! She is old enough to understand the party thing so we had two different parties. On Thursday she had all of her friends over for a "Princess Party." It was so fun to see 8 little Princesses making crowns and magic wands and just being little girls. Haley had a blast and didn't want the party to end!
On Saturday night we had all the Nelson family over for dinner. Haley loves being the center of attention and had a blast! Angell played Hungry Hippo and the Fishing Game with her most of the night. She is such a good sport!! After everyone left we had to stay up and play a game of Memory and try on some of her new clothes. At 11:00 she was still wide awake because she was just so excited. She's planning her birthday for next year already!
