Pioneer Day

We just returned from another fun trip to Panguitch for 24th of July celebrations. It was filled with family, rodeos, parades, 4-wheeling, and food. Thursday the 24th we went to the parade, which is always fun. The kids collected candy, Grandpa made sure to throw extra our way when he came by. If you haven't been to a parade in Panguitch you are missing out--they come up center street then turn on main. It then goes a few blocks and turns around and heads back down main street so you get to see the parade twice. It's small, but always fun! After the parade we went home for some good cookin--Michael made us his yummy ribs, Marc did the Dutch oven potatoes, and Jodi made some great beans. Top it off with Troy's peach cobbler and we were all very full!! After stuffing ourselves it was time the races at the park. Haley and Hunter did pretty good, Hunter lost sight of Dad as he ran so he just collapsed crying at the finish line because he got nervous. They didn't win, but they had a great time participating. Michael went for a nice long ride with my brother Marc and came home filthy--He loves to get dirty!

Friday was filled with a nice long 4-wheeler ride up to the ranch. About 20 minutes into the ride I hit a rock just right and took a tumble. I got the wind knocked out of me, but no major damage. We made it to the ranch with no further incident, then headed for home. We were a little lost and we got rained and hailed on, but hey that makes for a fun story to tell when you get home. Michael and I decided to make our story even better and so we tipped on my Dad's big Honda. Michael softened the blow for me a little, but we still were a little banged up. Each night we were there we helped at the high school rodeo that they have each year, the kids love getting dressed up in their cowboy gear. Overall it was a very fun weekend. We brought home with us some good memories, bruises, and about 10 pounds. It was a blast and we can't wait for next year!
